HIBAPRESS – Tiznit
The incident of finding an abandoned inflatable boat last Saturday has alerted the competent authorities along the coasts of the Aglou municipality in the Tiznit province, after the boat ran aground in a coastal area under circumstances that are still under investigation and inquiry.
According to information, the boat, which was without an engine, was found in the coastal area before the competent authorities intervened to take the necessary measures. Inside, survival equipment was found, including rescue vests.
The incident coincided with increased security surveillance on the local coasts, in light of recent incidents related to irregular migration attempts in the region.
Investigations are still ongoing to determine the source of the boat and who was using it, and to uncover the circumstances surrounding its arrival on the coast. No official data has been released so far confirming its link to a specific operation.
