HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
Parliamentarian Abdulrahman El Missouri sent a message to various stakeholders in the province of Taounate, following the end of the legislative elections. He called for overcoming the atmosphere of electoral competition and the discussions and debates that accompanied it, and for opening a new chapter of cooperation and joint action to serve the population.
El Missouri stressed that the next phase requires respect for institutions and the constitutional path, and an avoidance of gossip and interpretations, considering that what unites the province's people is far greater than what might divide them, foremost among which are the interests of the nation, the province of Taounate, and the expectations of its residents.
The parliamentarian extended his thanks and appreciation to the governor of Taounate province, and to the various authorities, cadres, employees, auxiliary forces, and those who supervised the electoral process, and to all who contributed to the success of this event, praising the efforts made to ensure the electoral process proceeded in an organized manner.
El Missouri stated that the demands expressed by citizens during the election campaign period remain legitimate, especially concerning roads, health, water, electricity, job opportunities, and alleviating the isolation of villages. He affirmed that these files require advocacy and institutional work and cooperation among various stakeholders.
He also emphasized the necessity of distinguishing between constructive criticism that contributes to reform and debates that do not offer practical solutions to the province's problems.
In a direct message to the new elected officials, El Missouri called for bearing in mind the citizens' expectations that were identified during the election campaign, and transforming them into files and programs to advocate for, stressing that responsibility truly begins after the electoral competition ends.
El Missouri concluded his message by affirming that his hand is extended to all, away from partisan and political differences, calling for uniting efforts and working "as one hand, one rank, and one heart, not against anyone, but for the sake of Taounate."
He emphasized that elections end with the announcement of results, while serving the citizen and the nation is a continuous responsibility. He wished the newly elected officials success in carrying out their entrusted tasks and that they would meet the expectations of the province's residents.
