HIBAPRESS – Bouarfa
Bouarfa city witnessed rapid developments today, Monday, September 28th, following the protests staged by parents and guardians of pupils from Al-Zarqatouni primary school in front of the headquarters of the Figuig Provincial Authority and the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of National Education. An inspection committee from the Provincial Directorate visited the institution to closely examine the existing shortcomings.
This field step comes after the families' representatives expressed their deep discontent due to the disruption of normal schooling. They pointed out that the institution not only suffers from a severe shortage of educational staff and vacant teaching positions but is also grappling with the problem of overcrowding within classrooms, which harms the quality of academic achievement and creates unsuitable learning conditions.
During their demonstration, the protesters chanted slogans demanding the actual implementation of their children's constitutional right to quality education. They called on officials to move beyond makeshift solutions and take urgent measures to redistribute human resources and alleviate pressure on classrooms.
