After five years of waiting and procrastination, former workers and employees of the "MOCADOR Al Madina" hotel in Agadir are still awaiting the settlement of their social status and the provision of their rights, in a case that has dragged on despite multiple correspondence and administrative and judicial efforts, amid hopes pinned on the intervention of the Head of Government, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, to end their suffering.
The suffering of these workers is escalating, according to what they present regarding their case, given the death of a number of them before they could obtain their rights, while their surviving colleagues continue to demand justice and an end to what they consider years of injustice and waiting, after they have exhausted, according to their statements, a number of procedures without reaching a final settlement.
The workers had previously sent correspondence to the former Head of Government and the current Minister of Justice, demanding intervention to settle their situation and provide them with their legal and social rights, pointing out that they had submitted applications to the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) to benefit from unemployment compensation, but their files, according to the correspondence, did not receive the expected processing.
The concerned parties also highlighted the difficulties facing the implementation of final judicial rulings issued in their favor, requesting intervention with the competent authorities to expedite their implementation, as well as a review of the status of their files with the National Social Security Fund.
While the years of waiting continue, the demand of these workers remains clear: justice for those who are still alive, and the settlement of their rights away from the cycle of postponement and repeated procedures. The concerned parties hope that the intervention of the Head of Government, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, will be an entry point to end this long-standing case, ensure the implementation of judicial rulings, and arrange the due social and legal consequences.
