The Competitions Committee of the Gulf Football Federation has decided the identity of the second qualifier from Group A in the Arabian Gulf Cup "Gulf 27" after a draw was held between the Iraqi and Omani teams.
The draw resulted in Oman qualifying for the semi-finals as runners-up behind the Saudi team, which topped the group with full marks "9 points".
The curtain fell on the competitions of Group A in "Gulf 27" on Tuesday evening, as the Saudi team defeated Iraq 2-0, while Oman defeated Kuwait 3-1, allowing the Green team to qualify from the top with full points.
Meanwhile, the second spot remained undecided between Iraq and Oman due to their equality in goals scored and conceded, as well as the number of colored cards, making the scheduled draw the deciding factor between the two teams.
The Saudi team will await the runner-up of Group B in the semi-finals, between the UAE or Qatar teams, who will meet on Wednesday evening in a top match of the group led by the UAE team with 6 points, ahead of their Qatari counterparts on goal difference. The Omani team will await the leader of the same group in the second semi-final.
