HIBAPRESS – Tangier
The Tangier Communal Council, during its ordinary session for October 2026, is moving towards approving a set of measures to establish new parking lots, through the acquisition and expropriation of several properties in various areas of the city.
The proposals include the acquisition of seven properties belonging to the private domain of the state, located in areas including Villa Harris, Mohamed VI Avenue, the Kasbah, Malabata, Bab El Marsa, and Belgium Street, in addition to two proposals for the expropriation of properties in the new district on Moulay Abd al-Hafid Street and in the Cape Spartel district.
These measures fall within a direction aimed at providing additional parking spaces, through projects that include surface and underground parking lots, and the council will present these proposals for discussion and approval during its next session.
