The current government, headed by Aziz Akhannouch, continues to manage affairs during the interim period until the formation of the new government, within a framework aimed at ensuring the continuity of the state's institutions and public services and avoiding disruption to citizens' interests.
This phase includes managing ongoing files and decisions related to the normal functioning of the administration, as well as following up on commitments that cannot be postponed. Political issues or those related to new government directions remain tied to the formation of the next executive authority.
The government's continued exercise of its duties falls within the principle of the continuity of public services, which requires state agencies not to cease their functions during periods of political transition. Administrative work will thus continue as usual, pending the transfer of responsibility to the new government team.
This phase gains particular importance at the level of a number of files that require daily follow-up, whether concerning public services, the implementation of administrative and financial commitments, or the management of previously launched files.
In this context, Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Committee tasked with monitoring the repercussions of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East on the national economy on Wednesday in Rabat. This confirms the government's continued monitoring of international developments and its assessment of their potential impact on the national economy.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing the repercussions of the significant rise in international fuel prices and to anticipating the various potential effects of these developments on the national economy, ensuring they are addressed with the necessary speed and responsibility.
This follow-up is part of the commitment to preserving citizens' purchasing power, ensuring the regular and consistent supply of markets, the continuity of supply chains and logistics, as well as securing citizens' mobility and ensuring the continuity of public service operations.
