The Baraqa primary healthcare hospital in the Ouled Mimoun neighborhood of Nador is experiencing a severe crisis related to the management of administrative services, where visitors are forced to wait for long hours in dilapidated queues, amidst repeated complaints of the administration's non-compliance with set working hours and a complete absence of the most basic conditions for human organization.
The courtyards of this health institution daily turn into spaces of complex suffering, as mothers and infants find themselves exposed to waiting under difficult climatic conditions, without adequate seating or essential facilities to protect them, which directly and negatively impacts their psychological and physical well-being as they seek to benefit from basic health services.
In the same context, the absence of organizational guidance and weak administrative supervision has led to a state of continuous chaos, with verbal altercations and tensions recurring among exhausted visitors due to the prolonged waits and poor direction, threatening the normal functioning of the health institution and weakening its overall productivity.
Despite multiple field visits conducted by regional committees from the Nador Health Delegation to closely assess these imbalances and ascertain the extent of the problems, the situation remains unchanged, with no tangible improvement recorded in the quality of services provided or the development of administrative management methods.
In the face of this ongoing crisis, voices of civil and human rights activists, along with parents of children, have risen, demanding immediate and urgent intervention from the responsible authorities to end this administrative congestion and put an end to what they described as "absurdity" in managing facilities that concern the public health of citizens.
The activists also stress the necessity of developing a practical and effective strategy that ensures complete discipline within the health facility and guarantees children their constitutional right to receive vaccinations and essential services in decent conditions that preserve their human dignity and respond to the aspirations of the local community.
