The streaming platform Netflix will broadcast all 2030 Football World Cup matches to viewers in Spain and Andorra, as announced by the entertainment giant on Tuesday.
Netflix said in a statement, "(We will offer) all 104 matches of the world's biggest football competition in live broadcast."
Spain, the reigning champion, will co-host the 2030 World Cup with Portugal and Morocco, while three matches will be held in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, celebrating the tournament's centenary.
Netflix added, "As part of the agreement, one match per round in the competitions will be available to watch for free in Spain."
The platform confirmed that a free national television channel will also broadcast all of Spain's matches, the final match, along with other games.
The agreement strengthens Netflix's policy of competing with traditional broadcasters for live sports events.
This is the first time the subscription-based platform has been able to broadcast the men's World Cup.
Netflix also holds the broadcast rights for the 2027 and 2031 Women's World Cup editions in the United States and Canada.
