In light of the university transportation crisis on the routes leading to the vicinity of Hassan I University in Settat, and the reactions it has caused, the head of the Settat communal council announced a package of measures that will alleviate the existing pressure on the routes leading to the university.
The head of the communal council of the city of Settat informed the general public and students of Hassan I University in particular that based on the meeting held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the headquarters of the Settat commune, in the presence of representatives from the commune, the province, the local authority, and the excellent transportation company LUX TRANSPORT, which is authorized to manage urban transportation in the city of Settat, the following urgent measures have been decided upon to address the overcrowding experienced on the routes leading to Hassan I University, starting from next Monday:
. Reinforcing the route leading to Hassan I University with additional buses.
. Reducing the time interval between buses on the route leading to Hassan I University, especially during peak hours.
. Buses will start operating from 6:30 AM instead of 7:00 AM.
. Allocating a departure point for buses at the "de facto" level to alleviate pressure on the route leading to the university.
