Police elements in the city of Marrakech, on Thursday, October 15th, managed to arrest an individual who had appeared in a video clip published on social media, containing defamation and slander against public officials while they were carrying out their duties.
According to preliminary investigation information, the police services in Marrakech had previously arrested the suspect's sister due to her involvement in reckless and dangerous driving that threatened the safety of road users. She was kept under police custody for investigation purposes as ordered by the public prosecution.
Following this judicial decision, the arrested woman's brother published a video clip attributing to police elements allegations and accusations that include the fundamental elements of the misdemeanor of slander and defamation. This necessitated placing him under judicial investigation to uncover the circumstances, details, and background of this case.
