BABA-HIBAPRESS-RABAT
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the OCP Group and private partners proceeded, today Tuesday August 13 in M’diq, to the signing of a strategic partnership agreement for the creation of a National Football Training Fund, dedicated to the professionalization of training centers and the promotion of young talents in the discipline.
The National Training Fund is based on a business model based on the training of high-level players and their integration into professional clubs, thus enabling the sustainability of the project. Its management will be ensured by a specialized SA, under the technical supervision of the National Technical Directorate under the FRMF.
So far, this project is promising in more than one way and will allow the emergence of so many young “professional” players by 2030 and beyond because it goes without saying that Moroccan football will no longer stop in 2030 but will have to continue, this time on good and better bases, since there will no longer be room for anything random.
Football, the driving force of national sport, is therefore in the best position, provided that the other federations follow suit.
In any case, this FRMF-OCP-SA Privées project has chosen its path badly because whether we like it or not, the major issue that should be addressed in our Sport and which remains this sand that rusts the wheels of our Sport is the Training of our leaders first. It would have been plausible that this project had started with our Football leaders and other Federations in order to allow us to train serious leaders who will not have the sole concern of enriching themselves on the backs of their Federations and finding easy solutions to qualify their athletes for the various continental, Arab, Mediterranean, French-speaking or other competitions and to “rejoice” in it or run by all possible means to occupy positions of responsibility as assistants to the presidents of various international federations and go and break our ears that they have achieved great feats
This project planned by Lakjaà is certainly commendable but should have included the presidents of our clubs since most of them are or were being prosecuted by the Justice system.
It is therefore time for the High Authorities to intervene in this direction and demand that the presidents of other Federations be exposed to this kind of project in order to then have to give presidents who are truly and truly responsible towards their federations and towards their country, the Kingdom of Morocco. We have to take the example of the Kingdom of Bahrain which went to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with just 14 Athletes and won Gold, Silver and Bronze. Who can do better?
