Media personality Mohamed Ammoura attacked YouTuber Hamid Al-Mahdaoui, in light of the controversy surrounding protesters rejecting normalization.
In this regard, media personality Mohamed Ammoura said that many people do not distinguish between Israel as a state, Judaism as a religion, and Zionism as a political orientation, considering that the confusion between these concepts leads to accusing anyone who tries to clarify the differences between them of sympathizing with Zionism.
Ammoura clarified that Israel has existed for decades, and that calls for its demise have not led to its disappearance, pointing out that respecting Judaism is different from the stance on Zionism as a political project. He added that attempting to explain these differences does not necessarily mean adopting Zionist positions, but the lack of distinction between them makes some accuse those who discuss the topic or clarify its dimensions of being a Zionist sympathizer.
In the same context, Ammoura attacked Al-Mahdaoui, due to the latter's attempt to confuse the mentioned concepts, accusing Al-Mahdaoui of trying to "normalize" his followers.
Ammoura called on Al-Mahdaoui to work on developing himself, adding: "Develop yourself, and when you want to comment on a topic, be well-mannered and ethical, and discuss with arguments. Don't be empty and only know how to insult… Palestine will never be liberated this way."
Ammoura continued addressing Al-Mahdaoui by saying: "You cannot be with the cause if you are an ignorant person who only knows how to curse and insult… Give yourself time to develop."
