With the start of the new legislative year, the expectations of Kenitra's residents from their four representatives in the House of Representatives are renewed, amid aspirations to prioritize local issues, convey citizens' concerns to the legislative institution, and work to find solutions to the files affecting the city's living conditions and development.
The parliamentary representation for the Kenitra constituency includes Mostafa Ibrahimi of the Justice and Development Party, Mohamed El Gherras of the Democratic Social Movement Party, Hatem Ben Rquia of the National Rally of Independents Party, and Al-Hussein Rahouya of the Constitutional Union Party. This party diversity places the responsibility on the deputies to advocate for the city's interests, whether through parliamentary questions, discussions of public policies, or communication with the relevant government sectors.
Among the most prominent files that residents are awaiting to be raised are employment issues, improvement of health and educational services, development of transportation and infrastructure, as well as keeping pace with the needs of neighborhoods facing increasing pressure on public facilities. The need to strengthen coordination with elected councils and government bodies remains, with the aim of moving local demands from diagnosis to proposing feasible solutions, while following up on the progress of projects and commitments related to the city.
The evaluation of parliamentarians' performance is not only linked to the number of their interventions within the Parliament but also to the regularity of their communication with citizens and their ability to follow up on and defend the files presented before the competent authorities. With the beginning of the legislative year, the residents of Kenitra look forward to this phase being an opportunity to strengthen advocacy for the city's issues and achieve tangible results that respond to local priorities and support the development process.
