The Preliminary Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal in Al Hoceima ruled yesterday, Monday, with twenty years of effective imprisonment against a defendant, after convicting him of charges related to luring a minor, transporting her by deception from places under the authority and supervision of others, and raping her by force, in acts that resulted in defloration.
In a separate case, the same chamber issued a ruling sentencing another defendant to twenty years of effective imprisonment, after prosecuting him for a series of serious felonies, including forming a criminal gang, kidnapping, and detention for the purpose of obtaining ransom, in addition to acts associated with torture and threats of committing crimes.
The charges against the second defendant also included aggravated theft combined with plurality, violence, and threat, using a motor vehicle, as well as assault and battery, according to the legal classification in the file.
These two sentences reflect the judiciary's handling of cases of assault on minors and serious crimes that affect the safety and security of individuals, by issuing effective prison sentences against the convicted defendants, as concluded by the court in each file.
