Yassin Ben Ramdan – HIBAPRESS
Judicial police elements in the regional security directorate of Jerada city, on Tuesday afternoon, October 20, managed to arrest a young man in his twenties, on suspicion of his involvement in a case related to fraud and deception using the known method of "Hello, you've won with us," in the Ghayata urban hub.
This security operation came based on precise information provided by the services of the General Directorate of National Territorial Surveillance, which enabled the execution of a security intervention resulting in the arrest of the suspect, who was wanted nationwide.
The "Hello, you've won with us" method is associated with fraudulent practices that rely on contacting victims by phone and convincing them they have won financial prizes or gifts, in an attempt to lure them into providing personal information or bank details that can be exploited for illegal purposes.
Jerada city has witnessed, in previous periods, security operations targeting individuals suspected of being involved in this type of crime, including impersonating public officials to entice victims and gain their trust.
This operation falls within the framework of the continuous efforts made by the security services to combat fraud and deception, track down wanted individuals, and confront the various criminal methods that exploit communication means to ensnare victims and seize their money.
The judicial investigations related to this case will reveal the circumstances and details of the suspected actions, as well as determine the nature of the concerned individual's connection to the case and the actions attributed to him.
