HIBAPRESS – Khalil Fazzazi
The awareness-raising days organized by the Specialized Technicians Institute in Agriculture continue in the city of Laayoune, from October 19 to 21, 2026. The aim is to introduce vocational agricultural training opportunities and their role in qualifying youth and facilitating their entry into the labor market, under the slogan: "Agricultural vocational training is a lever for establishing enterprises and a path to entering the labor market."
The opening session, held on Monday, October 19, was attended by the Director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training for the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region, along with the Provincial Director of National Education in Laayoune, in the presence of a number of heads of departments and services affiliated with the Academy and the Provincial Directorate.
The occasion provided an opportunity for participants to explore the parallel exhibition of these days, learn about its contents and the various specializations covered by agricultural vocational training, as well as discover the potential offered by this path in acquiring practical skills and enhancing economic integration opportunities.
This initiative aims to bring youth closer to the available professional paths in the agricultural sector, highlight the importance of applied training in preparing competent individuals capable of meeting the demands of the labor market, while fostering entrepreneurship and encouraging holders of ideas and projects to establish their own businesses.
The objectives of the event are not limited to introducing specializations and professional opportunities, but also extend to strengthening coordination between educational and training institutions and economic actors, and expanding guidance options for students and youth, including those who have dropped out of school or are not enrolled, allowing them to discover alternative paths to build their professional future.
In this context, the participation of the Regional Academy of Education and Training is part of its efforts to enhance openness to its economic and social environment, and develop cooperation with vocational training institutions, in a way that supports qualification and professional integration and contributes to reducing school wastage.
These awareness-raising days are expected to provide beneficiaries with a greater opportunity to learn about the prospects of agricultural training and explore its potential in developing skills and creating new job and entrepreneurial opportunities in the region.
