Morocco-Romania: consolidation and diversification of bilateral military cooperation between the two countries

In execution of the Very High Royal Instructions, Mr. Abdeltif Loudyi, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of the National Defense Administration, received yesterday Tuesday at the headquarters of this Administration, Mr. Angel Tilvar, Minister of National Defense of Romania, on a working visit to the Kingdom, accompanied by a large delegation and the Romanian Ambassador accredited to Rabat.

This visit, which is part of the consolidation and diversification of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, was marked by the signing of the Cooperation Agreement in the military and technical field between Morocco and Romania and this, in the presence of the Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the South Zone.

The said cooperation agreement concerns in particular the areas of training, training and exercises, the defense industry, technical support and exchange of expertise, military health, cybersecurity and the creation of a joint military commission before determine the areas of cooperation and meet alternately in Rabat and Bucharest.

Furthermore, both parties highlighted the positive and constructive role of the Kingdom of Morocco and Romania in maintaining stability, security and peace in their respective regions, being aware of the role and responsibility that dictate their geostrategic positions to promote peace and harmony in Africa and Europe.

At the end of this meeting, the two officials demonstrated the common ambition and desire to consolidate, in the future, these relations through the implementation of the provisions of the Cooperation Agreement in the military and technical field signed this day, as well as by the regularity of exchanges of visits by officials of the two countries.
