Al-Kawkab Sports Club of Marrakech announced today Monday that the authorities of the city of Marrakech have made the Harthy stadium available to the team for the 2024-2025 football season.
Al-Kawkab Marrakech’s report states that a committee from the National Professional Football League is expected to conduct an inspection visit to the facilities at Al-Harthy Stadium on Monday, August 26, with the aim of ensuring that it is ready to host the team’s matches.
According to the same communication, the club president and the members of the board of directors expressed their sincere thanks to Faouzi Lakjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Farid Chouraq, governor of the Marrakech-Safi region, Fatima Zahraa Al-Mansouri, mayor of the city of Marrakech, and Samir Koudar, President of the Marrakech-Safi regional council, for their continued support for the team.
The Marrakech club also announced its intention to organize meetings with its supporters, including “Ultras Crazy Boys 2006”, in the coming days, to discuss organizational and logistical arrangements related to tickets and access to the stadium.
Al-Harthy Stadium has been the subject of a number of international rulings and correspondences in recent years, prohibiting teams from Marrakech from hosting their matches at Al-Harthy Stadium under the pretext of “security reasons” for obstructing traffic and movement on the roads and streets near the stadium, during or on the occasion of matches, as well as the possibility of riots and casualties in the stadium.
