Some stars of the Moroccan national team face an unknown fate with their clubs as the countdown begins to close the curtain on the ongoing summer transfer window.
The current “summer transfer window” has not been marked by major transactions for Moroccan national team players, with the exception of Noussair Mazraoui’s transfer to Manchester United, Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla to Fenerbahce and Amir Richardson’s transfer to Italian club Fiorentina.
Three Moroccan stars face an unknown fate in the summer transfer window, led by Amine Harit, a player of Olympique de Marseille, although he was mainly counted on in the first round of the French League against Stade Brestois, a confrontation in which the player of the “Atlas Lions” excelled, providing two assists and saving a penalty.
French media have reported that Harith is wanted by Genoa in Italy and Zenit St Petersburg in Russia, but Marseille have yet to receive any official offers, leaving Harit facing an unknown future, much like his compatriot Ezzedine Ounahi, who is going through similar circumstances at the same team.
In addition to the former duo, West Ham United defender Naif Akrad left the accounts of technical director Julen Lopetegui, who did not count on him in the last match, and he was not on the match list for technical options.
Akrad has not been included in West Ham’s accounts since the days of former manager David Moyes, so the deal continues with Lopetegui, forcing him to look for a new club before the end of the summer transfer window.
Amine Harit is eager to find a club where he can play regularly in order to reintegrate the squad of the first Moroccan national team, while Ounahi and Naif Akrad fear for their status with the “Atlas Lions” if their status with their clubs does not change.
