Marrakech: Husband attacks wife with knife in public bath

The services of the sixth security zone of the Sidi Youssef Ben Ali district in Marrakech were able, on the eve of Sunday, August 25, to arrest a man in his forties who broke into a public bath for women and exposed his wife to injuries after being stabbed with a knife.

According to the newspaper’s sources, the detainee entered the women’s bathroom and was in an agitated state, carrying a knife, looking for his wife. He exposed her to injuries that required her to be rushed to the hospital for treatment. Without the intervention of some women and the screams that filled the bathroom, the attacker was forced to flee.

The incident caused panic and fear among women who were in the toilets at the time of the attack, as the Sidi Youssef Ben Ali neighborhood did not record any similar incidents.

The detainee was placed in theoretical police custody pending his presentation to the public prosecutor.
