Accused of public insult and slander… Wehbé drags Hamid El Mahdawi before the court

The Minister of Justice, Abdel Latif Wehbé, has filed a complaint with the courts against the journalist and director of the website “Badil”, Hamid El Mahdawi.

The Minister of Justice charged journalist Mahdawi with disseminating and distributing false allegations and false facts with the aim of defaming people, slandering and publicly insulting, in accordance with Chapters 2.447, 444 and 443 of the Penal Code.

As a result, the public prosecutor at the court of first instance in Rabat has decided to set the date of September 9 as the first hearing to hear Mahdaoui.
