HIBAPRESS-RABAT
The Excellence Cup is in principle an almost similar version of the Espoirs Challenge which only lasted four editions.
This is because the LNFP has not managed to arouse the interest of national clubs, the vast majority of which are caught up in financial and managerial crises that are causing them suffering, which does not encourage them to venture into a new competition in a calendar that is already poorly managed and for which the name of Coupe d’Excellence has been chosen.
Therefore, even if the LNFP managed to obtain the approval of all the clubs, it would be inconceivable for the teams involved in the continental competitions to line up their best players for a new competition, which seems to them to be a high-risk one, although for this EC concerning the ages of the players, the clubs are required to register at least 10 U23 players on the match sheet and a mandatory participation of at least 06 U23 players throughout the duration of the match.
In any case, the Excellence Cup is not among the priorities of professional teams.
