Paris 2024 Paralympic Games: Abdelilah Gani gives Morocco its first gold medal and sets a new world record

Moroccan athlete Abdelilah Gani won the Gold Medal in the Shot Put (F53 category) at the Paralympic Games held in Paris.
Gani set a new world record with a throw of 9.22 m, smashing the previous world record he held (8.84 m).
With this world title in the Shot Put, Morocco brings its harvest to five Medals, including 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze.
Silver was won by Fatima Zahra El Idrissi in the 1500m (T13), while bronze was won by Aymane El Haddaoui in the 100m race (T47), Ayoub Adouich (-63 kg/K44) and Rajae Akermach (+65 kg/K44) in Para-taekwondo.
