The Jordanian king decorates the “Nashama” national team led by Moroccan coach Hussein Amotta.

King Abdullah II of Jordan today, Monday, honored the members of the “Nashama” national team as well as their technical support led by Moroccan executive Hussein Amotta with the Silver Jubilee medal.
This gesture of recognition towards the “Nashama” national team comes, according to the Jordanian press agency, in recognition of their remarkable efforts to obtain second place during the 2023 Asian Cup of Nations, organized in Qatar.
The Jordanian king praised, during his reception of the honorees at Al-Husseiniya Palace, the exceptional performance of “Nashama” during the Asian Cup, as well as the high ethics demonstrated by the team's players , expressing support for their qualification journey for the 2026 World Cup.
The Jordanian national team will face their Pakistani counterparts in Amman tomorrow, Tuesday, in the fourth day matches of group seven of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and 2027 Asian Cup.
The “Nashama” occupy second place in group seven with four points, tied with the Pakistanis. Saudi Arabia tops the group with nine points, while Tajikistan brings up the rear.
Following the second round matches, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the final phase of the 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia, as well as the third round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
