Remittances from Moroccans living abroad increased slightly during the month of July 2024, reaching 68.1 billion dirhams at the end of the month, compared to 66.0 billion dirhams during the same period in 2023, an increase of 2.2 billion dirhams, or an increase of 3.3%.
These remittances, which constitute an essential part of the national economy, have continued to record continuous growth since the beginning of the year, despite the relative slowdown in the growth rate. This continued growth reflects the strong attachment of Moroccans abroad to their homeland and their central role in supporting the national economy, particularly in light of global economic challenges.
The year 2024 is expected to see new records in remittances from the Moroccan community abroad, which will strengthen the financial and social stability of the country.
