Last night, Monday, the French television channel “TF1” broadcast in prime time an episode of its hit series “Camping Paradis”, filmed in Morocco.
This two-part special episode, entitled “Les Bleus au Maroc”, marks the start of the new season of the series centered around the character of Tom Delormes, the owner of the camp of the same name, who with his team must deal with summer demand and manage the problems that may arise, all while striving to offer the best possible customer service.
In this unit led by Laurent Ornac, who himself has played this role since 2006, Tom goes on holiday to Morocco with his friends.
In a statement to the specialist press, Laurent Ornac, who focused on the first meeting between the two main heroes of the series, declared: “This special episode is a kind of flashback.”
With the exception of the first scene, the entire episode was filmed in Morocco over four weeks in Marrakech’s Jemaa El Fna square, in markets, palm groves and the desert.
The director, pleased to discover that Moroccan actors are better known than those who frequent Paradise Camp, notably Faisal Azizi, confirmed that “the case is completely different from our filming at the campsite in France”. “The Jemaa El Fna square is very busy and it is a real hive of activity.”
Note that the channel landed in “La Réunion” last year before heading to Morocco.
According to the producers of the series, “When you move to another place, you have to find a place that matches your camp, because the place makes viewers dream.”
