The Political Bureau of the Party of Progress and Socialism has renewed its great concern about the challenges and difficulties of access to education 2024-2025, stressing the need to advance in the reform of public schools in the direction of quality and equality of opportunities, based on the efforts made at several levels, particularly with regard to improving the conditions of the educational family and what is linked to the creation of “pioneer institutions” whose experience must be broadened with a view to generalization.
In this regard, the party called on the government to really start reforming the programs and curricula in line with the modernization trends approved by the framework law.
The party drew the government’s attention to the deep suffering of Moroccan families whose sons and daughters attend private educational institutions, often under the pressure of the constraints of public schools. One of the manifestations of this suffering is the chaos of prices, the imposition of obscene and abusive speeches. arbitrary registration and insurance fees, and the imposition of imported, non-standardized and expensive books and programs, in an astonishing manner.
The party called on the government to intervene decisively to control and regulate private education practices, and not to shirk this responsibility under any circumstances, as long as it is a vital public service.
