Rider Ghali Boukaa wins the Mohammed VI Grand Prix of show jumping

Rider Ghali Boukaa, riding “A Kyss”, won the Grand Prix Mohammed VI on Sunday, the flagship event of the official show jumping competition (CSO3*), held over three days at the arena of the Royal Cavalry School of Témara.
Boukaa took first place after a decisive jump-off which he completed without a fault in a time of 41.63 seconds.
Ghali Boukaa also took second place, this time riding “Ugolino Du Clos” after a decisive jump-off which he completed without a fault in a time of 42.41.
Third place was won by Farid Amanzar riding “Churchille Z” after a clear jump-off in 43.74, ahead of, respectively, Sami Cherkaoui, riding “Chacsara”, author of 44.11 and 4 penalty points, and Lieutenant Yassine Laklach, riding “Derek d’Altenbach”, who completed the course in 48.36, with 4 penalty points, during the jump-offs.
At the end of this prestigious competition, the president of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports (FRMSE), Moulay Abdallah Alaoui, presented the Mohammed VI Grand Prix trophy to the winner of this edition. Similarly, the top five in the final ranking were awarded prizes.
In a statement to the press, Ghali Boukaa welcomed this important victory which comes on the eve of the Morocco Royal Tour.
“I did everything to win. For morale, a victory is also very important on the eve of a big event,” he said, adding: “my horses were flawless and I hope they stay like that in the future, to be able to honor my country during the Morocco Royal Tour.”
For his part, Farid Amanzar, who won third place, noted that this year this competition has seen innovations in terms of the course and obstacles. “This allows us to prepare our horses for the Morocco Royal Tour, in order to be able to claim prizes during this important event,” he said.
In addition to the Mohammed VI Grand Prix, the program of this event, organized from September 6 to 8 under the aegis of the FRMSE, included 18 events, some of which were reserved for senior amateurs and U13s, U18s and U21s.
These include, in particular, the prizes of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, the National Defense Administration, the Royal Guard, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Auxiliary Forces, National Security, the Skhirat-Témara prefecture, the Horse Show Association, the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Horses and the FRMSE.
