Details of flood losses in the agricultural sector in the southeast

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests has published data regarding the losses caused by the floods that recently occurred in several regions in the southeast of the Kingdom on the agricultural sector.
In this regard, the ministry explained that the floods caused damage to crops and agricultural infrastructure in villages located on the outskirts of the valleys.
According to the same data, the floods caused damage to fruit trees (date palms, apples, olives, figs, etc.) and to corn, vegetables and fodder crops.
Damage to hydro-agricultural infrastructure in the region included damage to 29.7 kilometers of waterways, 6 kilometers of rural roads and rural trails, hydromechanical equipment, solar energy equipment and pumping stations.
