Moroccan national team gains new points in world ranking
The Moroccan national team has gained new points in the world ranking of national teams, after its victory against the national teams of Gabon and Lesotho in the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations “Morocco 2025”.
According to the website “Football Ranking”, which specializes in updating the world ranking of national teams, the “Atlas Lions” obtained 6.69 new points after beating Gabon (4-1) and Lesotho (1-0) in the first and second rounds of the 2025 African Cup qualifiers.
According to the same source, the Moroccan national team will maintain the fourteenth position in the world and first on the continent in the new ranking which will be delivered by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on September 19.
It should be noted that the participation of the Moroccan national team in the qualifiers of “Cannes 2025” remains only formal, due to its prior qualification for the final as the host country.
