Lydec’s contract with several municipalities in the Casablanca-Settat region has been officially terminated to be replaced by the regional multi-service company SRM, which will oversee the management of the water, electricity and liquid disinfection sectors from this month.
In this regard, Nabila Rmeili, Mayor of Casablanca, reassured Lydec employees, who have more than 4,600 employees, that they will benefit from all their rights and will continue to work with the new company that will supervise the sector.
Al-Rumaili explained in an extraordinary session of the Council held yesterday Thursday, that the rights and privileges of employees working at Lydec and independent agencies will be preserved during the transition to the new regional company, with the exception of the director of Lydec, whose services have been terminated and a new director has been appointed to oversee the next phase.
