Berkane.. The Royal Gendarmerie arrests a cocaine trafficker
Heba Press – Oujda
Since the appointment of the commander of the regional command, Colonel Major Ahmed Warith, and the commander of the Berkane company, Rashad Bensaïd, concrete efforts have emerged in the fight against drug trafficking.
In this context, the motorcycle squadron, led by First Deputy Mohamed Mamouri, received from one of its sources crucial information on the activity of an individual involved in the trafficking of hard drugs, including cocaine, which is the subject of several national searches.
Based on this information, we headed towards the Aklim group, where an elaborate ambush was organized which led to the success of the operation.
The operation resulted in the seizure of a car used for drug promotion, as well as the seizure of a large quantity of cocaine, large sums of money and tools for measuring the weight of the drug.
This operation is part of a series of security successes, as the Motorcycle Squadron had already arrested, last Ramadan, one of the most important drug traffickers wanted by 55 national search warrants, which strengthens security efforts in the fight against drug trafficking and contributes to ensuring security and stability in society.
