On Wednesday afternoon, National Security and Civil Protection agents, with the help of some citizens, managed to rescue a young man who was about to jump from the balcony of an apartment located on the fourth floor of one of the residential buildings near the headquarters of the Royal Gendarmerie in the city center of Guercif.
A civil protection officer, with the help of a citizen, managed to control the young man in a moment of inattention and brought him out of the balcony, to the applause and cheers of the public, who expressed their joy at the success of the rescue operation.
The young man was immediately transferred to the regional hospital of Guersif to confirm his health and psychological state, while the available information indicates that there is no link between the young man and the apartment in which he was located.
National Security officials have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances and the basis of this incident.
