The General Secretariat of the National Organization for the Defense of Human Rights and Public Freedoms expressed its firm condemnation of the shameful remarks made by a person claiming to be a human rights activist on certain media pages.
The aforementioned party stated: “We have noticed that this person, who appears to lack basic knowledge of human rights principles, has publicly called for the imprisonment of young men and minors and described them with shameful and insulting words in front of the cameras.”
She noted in her statement: “These statements in no way represent human rights values and standards, and they also represent a flagrant violation of the ethics of human rights work, which requires preserving the dignity and rights of all individuals, regardless of their status or opinions.
The human rights body reminded the same person that the city of Fnideq has experienced the influx of many young people deceived into illegal immigration, and that such offensive statements only serve to fuel tensions and give a negative image of our country in terms of human rights.
Thus, the General Secretariat of the National Organization for the Defense of Human Rights and Public Freedoms demanded the following:
* Immediately open a public prosecutor’s investigation into the person responsible for these irresponsible statements.

* Hold this person accountable for his abusive behavior and his violation of the ethics of the human rights profession.
* Take necessary legal measures to avoid the repetition of such unfortunate incidents.
