The poster for the second season of the series “Squid Game”, which is scheduled to premiere on December 26, was announced on Thursday.
The newly released poster shows a man in a green tracksuit being pulled down a colored track by a masked guard in a pink uniform. Behind the guard is a rectangular gift box with a pink ribbon, with the words “The game won’t stop.”
The first season was a global success, garnering the highest number of hours watched in Netflix history. Its director, Hwang Dong-hyuk, won an Emmy Award and actor Lee Jung-jae won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor.
In the second season, the story continues with the hero Song Gi-hoon (Lee), who, despite his victory, chooses not to go to America and returns with a new goal.
The second season features the original cast from the first season, with additional cast members including MC-Wan, Kang Ha-Neul, Lee Jin-Ok, and Choi Seung-Hyun.
Netflix said in August that it was working on a third season and planned to release it next year.
