In a statement, Tunisian club Ittihad Monastir strongly condemned the unsportsmanlike events that occurred during its match in Algeria against MC, as well as the verbal and physical attacks against its team and the irresponsible behavior of officials, journalists and people unrelated to football, whether on the pitch, in the locker room or in the Mixed Zone.
The management of the Tunisian club announced that it would take all legal measures to protect the rights of the club and also called on the authorities and the Tunisian football authority to intervene with international authorities to restore the image of the representative of Tunisian football.
Tunisian media have strongly criticized the non-sporting events that took place at the Douira stadium in Algeria and the serious attacks on the Tunisian team.
The referee of this confrontation had stopped the match twice, due to sparklers and fireworks being thrown onto the pitch.
Media sources also reported that the match observer recorded all the violations in his report, threatening the Algerian club with heavy sanctions.
