The Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and the Social and Solidarity Economy formally denied, on Thursday, information invoking the seizure by the Kingdom’s mediator for additional funding in Tangier.
“We formally deny any information reporting unfounded scenarios on the “Forsa” program, in particular those invoking our referral by the Kingdom’s mediator for additional funding in Tangier,” said the ministry, which wishes to provide clarifications regarding this program.
According to the same source, the government not only kept its commitment on a national scale, but even exceeded its initial objectives set at 20,000 beneficiaries, to succeed in financing 21,200 project leaders over its two editions.
The ministry also emphasizes that the allocation of funding strictly respected the principle of territorial equity initially planned, and all regions benefited from their entire regional quota, ensuring that “no recommendation was communicated to us by the mediator, recognizing that the complainants have suffered an injustice.
In terms of supporting project leaders, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, including incubators and financial institutions, ensured rigorous monitoring of candidates. Project leaders who respected deadlines and procedures were able to sign their contracts within the allotted time.
In terms of training and incubation, the “Forsa” program covered all training and incubation costs for participants, including associated costs. This training aims to qualify participants in entrepreneurship, whether or not they benefit from “Forsa” funding.
At the same time, the ministry specifies that 545 candidates expressed their desire to be supported by “Forsa” with the Mediator of the Kingdom and that the Moroccan Society of Tourist Engineering (SMIT) examined each of these files individually.
“Project leaders who cannot benefit from the program have been redirected towards other financing solutions, in particular the “Intilaka” program, with the banks. Agreements have been signed to facilitate this reorientation and ensure continued support,” concludes the same source.
