A sixty-year-old man died in a serious traffic accident that occurred on Friday evening, January 2, 2026, on the coastal road at the level of the Souani area, belonging to the Atrkout commune in the Driouch province.
According to the initial available data, the accident resulted from a strong collision between a three-wheeled motorcycle of the "Triporteur" type, which the victim was driving, and a light car, which resulted in him sustaining serious injuries that hastened his death at the scene. The body of the deceased was transported by an ambulance belonging to the Atrkout commune to the morgue at the regional hospital in Nador, while elements of the Royal Gendarmerie moved to the scene of the accident, where they began a field investigation to ascertain the circumstances and the details of the incident and to determine legal responsibilities.
