Bassirou Faye invested in a fund of commitment to peace in Senegal

The new President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, pledged to promote peace and love of the homeland during his inauguration on Tuesday April 2, 2024 in Dakar.
“I am committed to the preservation of peace, the promotion of the cult of work ethics in the profession, discipline and love of the homeland,” declared the new president of Senegal. He also promised systematic change in the country.
Mr. Faye paid tribute to the “elders who fought for the advent of Senegalese democracy and who laid a solid foundation for an independent notion. This democracy shaken at times but still standing.”
After receiving the insignia of Head of State from the hands of the Constitutional Council, in the presence of an audience of African personalities and heads of state, Diomaye Faye went to the presidential palace where he was welcomed by the President released, Macky Sall.
The fifth president of the Senegalese Republic is 44 years old. Its action program includes the restoration of national sovereignty, the fight against the high cost of living and corruption, national reconciliation, a better distribution of wealth and the renegotiation of mining, gas and oil contracts concluded with foreign companies.
