The Moroccan Confederation of Exporters (ASMEX) is organizing, from October 6 to 10, a B2B mission in London to promote the implementation of “Made In Morocco” on the British market and strengthen economic and commercial relations between Morocco and the United Kingdom. United.

Organized in partnership with the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), this mission is made up of several Moroccan companies belonging to the agri-food sectors, the valorization of fishing products, fruits and vegetables, textiles, local products as well as cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.

In order to allow Moroccan exporters to get to know the British market closely and seize opportunities to develop their trade in this market, meetings were organized with the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Chamber of Commerce. West London (WLC).

Thus, the international trade specialist of the LCCI, Frances Fawcett, indicated that she was willing to support Moroccan companies wishing to export their products to the British market, stressing that the association agreement between the two Kingdoms is likely to facilitate this task.

A preferential rate is thus granted to products coming from Morocco, particularly in the textile, fertilizer, electrical cables and agriculture sectors, she said.

For his part, the WLC’s international trade advisor, David Billingsby, indicated, in a statement to MAP, that a mission will visit Morocco in November with several delegates representing around ten companies.

Made up of both “large companies” and SMEs, the delegation will travel to both Casablanca and Dakhla to increase trade between British companies and Morocco, he said.

One of the companies is in particular looking for a distributor not only for Morocco, but also for the whole of North Africa, he noted, noting that it is therefore a mission “large-scale”, which sees Morocco as a gateway to other markets.

The ASMEX mission in London, whose aim is to establish win-win partnerships based on commercial and industrial complementarities between the two countries, saw visits to industrial sites, logistics platforms, dozens of B2B meetings and the organization of a workshop on promoting the implementation of Moroccan brands on the British market.
