This coronation of “Farja”, which is the first 100% Moroccan and public video on demand platform, consolidated the solid indicators of success achieved since its launch by the Société Nationale de Radiotélévision in April 2024 in terms of acceleration of adaptation. audiovisual content from public media towards new styles. For growing consumption in Morocco and around the world, particularly among young people, and achieving the objective of integration between classic and linear television broadcasting and digital broadcasting, because they are among the most important. main objectives of the digital strategy of the National Radio and Television Company.
Among these indicators, this platform recorded more than 6 million 566 thousand views of its content between April and the end of August this year, having downloaded its application on smart devices by more than 737 thousand users. In addition to monitoring more than 5 million and 791 thousand various interactive events for users of the platform, such as watching content, pausing and sharing content, these events were recorded from Morocco (4 million and 309 thousand events ), and in a significant number of countries where the Moroccan community resides abroad (504 thousand in France, 164 thousand in Spain, 121 thousand in Italy, 91 thousand and 810 in Canada…).
The “Farja” platform provides users, as the first Moroccan public video-on-demand platform within the broad range of digital services of the Société Nationale de Radiotélévision, with more than 4,000 hours of audiovisual content such as films, series, plays. , documentaries and masterpieces of Moroccan classical works. It is available on all networks and usable on all (multi-screen) display media, such as smart TVs, computers, tablets or smartphones.
The platform was launched as part of the National Radio and Television Company’s implementation of its digital strategy, which has seen support and acceleration since 2019, after the creation of the National Radio and Television Company , under the direction of Mr. Faisal Al-Araishi. , President and Managing Director, a structure dedicated to the implementation of digital projects (Digital Solutions), supporting and supporting the necessary development of digital platforms within the company, in cooperation with internal and external partners, from way to guarantee a unique approach. and an innovative digital presence with a rich and attractive user experience that allows easy access to content and makes the National Radio and Television Company’s offers accessible to viewers and users anywhere and at any time.
