Oussama Barik, an independent parliamentary deputy, commented on the contents of the government program, considering that it does not sufficiently take into account the specificities of the rural environment and the constraints faced by its residents. This statement was made during his first official intervention in the House of Representatives as part of the discussion of the government's policy statement.
Barik shed light on the issue of real estate ownership in the areas he represents, highlighting the difficulties it poses for local development, in light of complexities related to property and their impact on project implementation and the improvement of the residents' economic and social conditions.
The parliamentary deputy also addressed the problems faced by small farmers, who encounter multiple challenges in practicing their agricultural activities and ensuring their continuity. He considered that addressing these constraints requires taking into account the ground reality of villages and agricultural areas when formulating public policies.
The intervention emphasized the necessity of giving the rural and mountainous areas a greater place within government priorities, through an approach that considers their specific real estate, social, and economic characteristics, and responds to the expectations of small farmers and the rural population.
