A Turkish court recently witnessed a unique divorce case, in which a Turkish man discovered that his wife had been cheating on him for nine years.
The husband filed for divorce after revealing his wife’s cheating through a government document from his employer’s archives.
Separate life
Since their marriage in 2013, the couple have lived semi-separate lives; The wife resided with her family in Ankara, while the husband moved between several cities due to his government work.
Although their marriage produced a child, their relationship ended this year after the husband revealed his cheating.
Government document
The husband obtained a divorce decree after submitting a government document confirming that his wife had not submitted any transfer request to join him, even though she claimed otherwise.
The document reveals that the wife, an employee of a government agency in Ankara, did not attempt to move in with her husband, prompting the court to rule in favor of the husband.
Quarrel and deception
The husband explained that he became suspicious of his wife’s claims after noticing that her organization had branches in every state he worked in, meaning she could have easily moved. According to the judgment published by Anadolu Agency, the court found that the wife was deceitful and that the continuation of the relationship between the spouses would not bring any benefit.
