FIFA has announced that an extraordinary meeting will be held via the Internet next December.
FIFA indicated in an official statement that, in accordance with Article 25(3) and Article 61(3) of the FIFA Statutes, the Council of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has decided to hold an extraordinary FIFA conference to determine the host country. countries for the 2030 and 2034 World Cups.
The press release also adds that, in accordance with article 25, paragraph 5, of the FIFA Statutes, this conference will exceptionally be held via the Internet on December 11.
FIFA has set a number of points on the agenda of this conference during which the suspension or freezing of the membership of one of the member federations will be discussed, in addition to a speech by the President of the Federation international, Gianni Infantino.
The amended budget for the financial cycle between 2023 and 2026 and the detailed budget for the next two years 2025 and 2026 will also be discussed, and these points will be put to vote by FIFA members.
FIFA has indicated that the 75th FIFA Congress will be held in Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, on May 15, 2025.
