Casablanca authorities have accelerated the pace of home demolitions in the old town, with the aim of completing the Boulevard Royal project on time.
According to informed sources, the company responsible for the demolition operation used several bulldozers to demolish houses in different areas of the Old City.
At the same time, the area sees an intense presence of members of the Auxiliary Forces and National Security to ensure that the demolition process takes place safely.
Local authorities have also taken precautionary measures by placing an iron fence around the demolition areas, to avoid any incident that could disrupt the process, which is moving very quickly.
