Royal Armed Forces assist 54 illegal immigrants

Elements of the Royal Armed Forces responsible for coastal surveillance intercepted, yesterday Wednesday, 186 kilometers south of the city of Dakhla, a boat in distress carrying 54 candidates for illegal immigration from sub-Saharan African countries and Asia, who had departed from the Mauritanian coast with the intention of going to the Canary Islands.
According to a press release from the General Command of the Royal Armed Forces, the intercepted people received the necessary first aid before being handed over to the Royal Gendarmerie for ongoing administrative procedures.
