The Wilaya of the Fez-Meknes region, in partnership with the Green OpenLab Foundation, announces the launch of the second edition of Green Open Challenge in the Fez-Meknes region.

This program, supported by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), is dedicated to Open Innovation and the convergence of farmers, technology and young people. The project, supervised by the INDH, will include all provinces and prefectures in the region. This initiative aims to stimulate innovation, contribute to good water governance, promote entrepreneurship among young people and modernize Moroccan agriculture in accordance with royal directives.

This first edition demonstrated that the collaborative approach of the Green Open Challenge can result in practical and innovative solutions, specifically adapted to the real needs and concerns of farmers. These achievements are tangible proof of the positive impact that innovation can have on the sustainability and productivity of local agriculture. Building on these successes, the second edition of the Green Open Challenge in the Fez-Meknes region will be approached with renewed enthusiasm and new energy, aiming to reach an even larger number of farmers, and to encourage more young people from the region to realize their ideas and develop their own prototypes to enter the market. This approach illustrates the continued commitment and determination in favor of ever more innovative and sustainable agriculture.

Program for this second edition of the Challenge

During the first two months of the program, the emphasis is placed on meetings with farmers, thus providing privileged spaces for exchange where they can share their challenges and concerns regarding agriculture and rural inclusion in their respective provinces.

For more than a month, young talents aged 18 to 45, whether they are idea bearers, young graduates or entrepreneurs, are invited to submit their innovative ideas to solve the identified challenges. This period is dedicated to collecting applications and encouraging active participation.

The month of May will be marked by the Hackathon, an event which will stimulate and strengthen the development of solutions proposed by young people in the region. Under the supervision of the Wilaya of the Fez-Meknes region as part of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), participants will benefit from in-depth supervision and sustained collaboration.

After the Hackathon, the entire period will be dedicated to supporting young project leaders and prototyping solutions. The Wilaya of the Fez-Meknes region through the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) with the assistance of the Green OpenLab Foundation, will offer complete support, from conceptualization to the launch of the products developed on the market.

In December, participants will have the opportunity to officially present their solutions developed during the support months. This step will be crucial to highlight the results of their efforts and demonstrate how their projects can meet the concrete needs of farmers in the region.
