Members of the National Judicial Police Division arrested, this Saturday evening, October 26, 2024, the famous Moroccan YouTuber “Elias Al-Maliki” inside the family home in the town of El Jadida.
This arrest comes after 15 personalities of the Amazigh language filed a complaint with the King’s Attorney General in Rabat against Al-Maliki, due to the circulation of digital content containing “insults, defamation and incitements to discrimination and to hatred.”
Al-Maliki had made statements that included words considered insulting to the Amazighs, as he said: “A challah remains a challah, its mind is small, its spirit is hungry. »
Al-Maliki’s statements sparked widespread discontent among many Moroccans, who viewed them as an insult, insult and slander against much of Moroccan society.
