In this wake, he was pleased to note that a number of African executives received their training in different fields within institutes and universities in Morocco, believing that investment in human resources is much more important.
“Beyond this, Morocco is deploying a colossal effort in the service of the development and prosperity of the Continent as evidenced by the investments made in a number of African countries, like the Ivory Coast,” he said. recalled, noting that these investments and the presence of the Moroccan private sector in a number of African countries are illustrative of this commitment of the Kingdom, under the enlightened and wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in favor of a stable and prosperous Continent.
Through the African Union, “we also have the privilege of working alongside a certain number of eminent Moroccan personalities and executives who are committed and deploying for peace in the Continent, for the outcome of certain crises which still persist, for example in Sudan,” he said.
“This means that Morocco is present whether inside the AU or outside the African Union, which can only be beneficial,” he said, welcoming the Kingdom fully committed to this drive for solidarity and prosperity for Africa.
“When Morocco intervenes with different African countries, sometimes far from its geographical area as in East Africa, it fully invests so that there is more peace, development and security,” he said. – he explained, noting that the Kingdom “has no personal and own interests but, all it seeks is peace and stability of the African Continent”.
On another note, he expressed his great pride in finding himself in Côte d’Ivoire, a country known for tolerance and wisdom, since independence, under the leadership of its founding president, the late Félix Houphouët-Boigny who in the past, he added, had to work with a number of visionary African heads of state, including the late HM Hassan II, for lasting peace and security on the Continent.
He praised, in passing, the participation in this 15th AU Retreat, of a certain number of former African heads of state who managed very relevant crises in their respective countries, noting that from the lessons drawn, “we will be able to share experiences together about the future”.
While recalling that the African continent is faced with a certain number of problems including crises linked to climate change, terrorism, immigration, in addition to purely political and security crises, he considered that it is imperative to act together so that we are able to provide them with adequate and appropriate responses.
